Students also learn proper consistencies and coloring techniques to give the flowers an elegant and professional look. The techniques leanred in class can also be applied to buttercream to decorate cupcakes, cakes and cookies.

It’s wintertime! Join us for a day of fun decorating these beautiful cookies with royal icing and isomalt. Students get a 14 oz bucket of royal icing from Satin Ice and learn how to color and achieve the consistency necessary to decorate 2 large cookies. This class focusses on basic techniques to make sugar windows with isomalt, how to pipe trees, birds, snowman, doors, candles , etc to make a 2 beautiful winter themes.
Techniques learned during class can also be used to make decorations for cupcakes and cakes.

Learn how to make a delicious and versatile buttercream recipe to decorate cupcakes and cakes. Students also learn to prepare a decorating bag, tinting buttercream, using decorating tips to pipe stars, shells, rosettes, swirls, petals, ribbon rose, star drop flower, swirl drop flower, leafs.
All tools/materials provided to students for use during class. Students take home 6 cupcakes decorated with techniques learned in class.

In the first half of this class, students learn basic techniques to pipe borders (shells, beads, ruffles, zigzag) and flowers (star drop, swirl flower, daisy, sunflower, rosettes) all in buttercream. In the second half, students learn techniques to level, torte, fill between layers, crumb coat and ice a 6 inch round cake and finally how to decorate the cake using all the techniques learned in class.

Students learn how to make royal icing and how to color it with gel and dry edible colors. Students also learn techniques to decorate cookies such as outline, wet on wet, flooding, brushed embroidery, stencil, tie dye and basic piping to make borders and mini rosettes with leaves.
All tools/materials provided to students for use during class. Students take home 8 cookies decorated with the techniques learned in class.

Students learn how to cover a 6 inch round styrofoam cake with fondant. Students also learn techniques to make bows, loops, whimsical roses and leaves, daisies , carnations, mums as well as texturing and ruffling techniques to complete a professional and elegant looking cake.
All tools/materials provided to students for use during class. Students take home a 6 inch round styrofoam cake covered and decorated with fondant.
